My new MX-3 (ProjectGTR)

Well since my white mx-3 got totalled (still drivable so it is my daily beater now) I needed a new mx-3 to do my fun work do... so i thought i'd share and if anyone wants let me know what they think and offer a little advice.. that is always welcome

It will be getting the bp engine with:
Wiseco 10.5:1 pistons
B6t rods (shaved and balanced)
ARP head studs
Port&Polish
Port match manis
Cam gears
Cams of some kind
Polish combustion chamber
Small quick spool turbo setup
Jspec 323 GTR AWD trans and rear end
Custom aluminum Drive shaft

there will be more... Can't wait to start the work in ernest

hope you don't mind... found that pic a long time ago and that is the best shot i have the ms front end... and i needed it for comparison

I hope you decide on the MS one instead - much better suited, less blingy and more functional IMO.

I am heavily leaning to the ms front... i do love the bc2 but likely i'll go with the ms front .. bc2 sides and rear... we'll see... what about everything else? interior ideas/suggestions ... what do you guys think of th GTR stuff and plans for the engine?

I noticed the engine said ford?What other car can you get the BPT out of??

it says ford cause the person i bought this engien off of had to bps one from a ford escort gt and one from a protege... the protege one was his back up so he swaped the valve covers so his engine said mazda.. that is why i bought the mazda powdercoated valve cover

That didnt answer my ?..can you get bpt out of a ford?or is it only a jspec 323 GTX or GTR???let me know

Nope- you cannot get one out of a Ford, but the valve cover from the Escort GT fits the BP/BPT too, which is the valve cover he has on it apparently.

sorry didn't see the t in the ? ... yeah the bp comes in pro and escort gt but the bpt only comes from japan from i guess the gtx and gtr's

The BPT alco came in a Ford Laser TX3 in Australia.

progress is going a little slow... finally took the kl engine out of the car, well actually my friend and it took the engine/trans/subframe/wheels/struts/springs/etc. all out at once just undid it all and lifted the car off ot it... i took pics and i'll post them on the cardomain site later today hopefully
