KLZE swap

Post by DreamSpawn »

ok looking at the swap guides this looks like a very straightfoward swap out with the 1.8 in with the 2.5 *need to change intake mani's right* Ok as for the ecu and all what needs to be done there? Also here is my BIG thing i want to go turbo with the regular probe gt turbo kit work inside the mx3? or will i just need the mani and custom the rest?

the ecu all depends on how much you want to spend, etc
there are many combos that people are happy with

kl-31/36 ecu - je50 vaf
k8 ecu - DE Vaf
etc, etc

and we now have a tubo kit produced for the mx-3 (see group buy going on now)

k8 ecu and de vaf that is the 1.8ecu and the vaf of KL-DE right?
As far as manifolds i think the whole right up under teh faq got me straight on that. As far as the turbo kit i like it but idk bout modifying the x brace so strut tower all that fun jazz.

if you plan on getting a ze ecu shortly after the swap, the a k8 vaf/k8 ecu will do just fine.....but if you are not going to get a ze ecu for a while, or at all, then go with the k8 ecu/KL-DE vaf combo
