what would be the point? if you dont use this car everyday might as well keep it in good runnign condition.
Are you planning on modding it? or making it bling?

Cut your springs only if you absolutely have no care for yourself, your passengers, or others on the road.

It dangerous.

GREAT BIG DITTO
If they're still serviceable - leave them
If unserviceable - replace them
If replacing - generic replacement or after-market lowering
Those are your options, anything else would be asking for serious problems. Is this a money issue motivated question? If you already know ahead of time that by doing so you will have a ride that "sucks", WHY would you ask the question in the first place? I think I'm missing something here. Perhaps it's the rest of the untold story behind the question.

When my friend bought his MX-3 from a used car lot, it had it's front springs cut. The look was NICE! But the shocks were dead. I wouldn't recommend it though because every bump on the road smacked the oil pan which eventually caused it to leak, although this was after 9 months of having the car.

Yeah, the pic of me with the cut springs on the car was apporoximatly a year ago. The car looked REAL BAD a-- since the back tires have P205 and the front are P185. But when we changed the shocks, we also put the OEM springs, and now it looks like a Lincoln Continental (in that the suspension makes the car look low in the back and high in the front). But for anyone that cares, please check out this forum and send me feedback.
