here's an odd one for those of you running BPT engines...what's your fuel economy like? does the engine really suck down the gas?
obviously this depends on your driving habits.
so yeah. i've never seen this question asked before, and i'm curious. i wanna know what i'll be working with once i do my swap in the next year or 2.

I've always been curious about that myself. I know alot of the KLZE swaps see a considerable improved fuel economy since the engine isn't working as hard...but what about turbo engines?

Well, im not sure what a BPT would be like in a mx3 but being a former 323 GTX driver I was getting approx 400kms to the tank city driving. My regular 323 on the other hand was getting approx 500kms on the same tank of gas.

400km is roughly 249 miles
500 km is roughly 311 miles
is the size of the 323 gas tank comparable to that of the mx3? i'm pretty sure the mx3 tank is 13 gallon.

well i was only getting 20 MPG last time i checked...that was all city driving and it is winter here right now. i just installed a wideband o2 sensor and my car was idling at 11.3 A/F ratio so i leaned it out to 14.7 so that should help my mileage quite a bit. i'm running a haltech and a MSD ignition. if i remember correctly i was getting 25-27 last summer (mostly city). at best this will probably only give you a rough estimate of actual gas mileage. another thing to factor in is that i don't drive like a grandma either...i pretty much never floor it either though (it's pointless unless you are going fast already because the tires just spin).
