Try Grant's site for an aplicable wiring schematic and go over that. You haven't mentioned what you've tried or not tried yet or how this all came about - ie, the circumstances that led up to this - or is it a somewhat embarrassing story?

Ya jschrauwen good call. I hadn't responded because the temp gauge isn't tied to any electrical circuit as such. As we know it operates from a thermocouple and the clock problem can only be totally unrelated unless its a cluster issue (highly unlikely but open to comfirmation).
The temp gauge should work with a dash power problem and vice versa. So more info is needed to even start guessing. Unless of course the plug to the cluster (1 of 4) has come out.

well i dunno what happend.. i know its not the guage cluster.. cuz i used two different clusters so far.. and the same thing happens
and all i know what happend was i pulled out hte first cluster to put on some of those slip on guage faces... and well i plugged it back up and the two things didnt work... i figured maybe one of the wires maybe slipped out of the plug but they are all in place.. so i dont know what else it could be...

If you have a look at the diagram here:

Figure 9.
Assuming everything else is working its a bit of a mystery as they're not really interconnected. Are you sure EVERYTHING else is ok?

Did you check all the fuses? The fuses sometime look ok but are actually blown - so just visually checking them is not enough.
Are you sure that the tachometer (RPM) and fuel gauge are working properly?

Try spraying some contact cleaners on the sockets ....
From the circuit diagrams - you know what color wires are connected to those things - so try and test those wires with a multimeter. (You can probably borrow a multimeter from an auto parts store).
I am purely guessing here - but if the signal from the thermo sensor is ok - then the BLK-ORG wire for the temp gauge should probably have 0 volts when the engine is cold and should be above 0 volts when the engine is hot.
Check the wires for the clock - i am guessing they should all have +12v except for ground (BLK-GRN) and 2L (RED).
