Clutch Slave Cylinder

If ANYONE can answer this question it would be REALLY REALLY good.. on the slave cylinder, there is a shaft that comes out to the fork in the tranny.. does anyone know if the shaft in the center.. that is covered by the boot is supposed to be sloppy.. or just tight

yes it is supost to be loose!!

ok thanks a lot man.. now I gotta adress the problem.. of why my clutch won't release.. it's a brand new clutch.. all the fluids have been topped up.. and my clutch will go in.. but not come out.. HELP!
