pat just asked that. i had another line that listed all the parts that were going into the car now (ie. klze, srd parts, fidanza, etc). i'm just trying to figure out who did it and why. i'm not pissed off, just curious.

If it was long... Your only allowed like 300 characters, it probably got cut off. I know Pat asked it but I was asking Specifically, like a link? ect.

Yes we can edit anything, but, if it was too long, and you tried to edit it, it would truncate.

ok, so why did it get modified? it didn't get truncated when i created it 3 or 4 months ago. i realize that if it is too long it won't accept it, but mine was accepted and later on modified by admins or something. thanks.

Depends, did you have any Links in your sig besides your homepage?

If jeff set up a different rule for sig lengths then it would be auto truncated.

Yes that was me. I apologize for not informing you of the change. Here's what happened:

After you donated to the site (thanks for that by the way :D ), I went in to your profile and modifed your status to Supporting Member, as I do when anyone donates.

It seems that you had a signature that exceeded the set limits of 300 characters. You must have last modified it either before the limit was put in place, or at a time when i had it disabled for one reason or another.

When I modify a users profile to give them a different status, etc, it will not let me save the existing information unless it meets all the criteria. Basically I have to truncate the information to be able to add the new info to the profile.

Usually I try to keep a copy of the data before I edit it and e-mail it to you the users. I must have forgotten to do this with your signature information.

My apologies for the mix-up, and not telling you.

Just so everyone knows, I do not try to run this site with tight restrictions, but instead we try to run the site with rules that will make it a much better place for everyone in the end. I am open for discussion on most topics, so if something is not right on the forums and you wish to discuss it feel free to e-mail me your concerns. I will try to reply promptly.

Regards,
