Yeah i don't come online regularly, since i don't have an internet connection at my home..lol.

Any how if you want some feedback check out MX6.com and look under "Probinator" That is my friend, and he is a sponsor on there. He was holding a bulk buy and you can see feedback left by others that have bought them.

The EPROM is IC604 the other IC602 looks like a RAM chip.

BTW- If anyone is interested I can install the chip. PM or email for details.

Thanks FlyVFR for that. Slammed6, I have posted a similar post on the mx6 forum and hope he has the same answer as FlyVFR. I'll be installing the chip really soon, but my swap isn't done yet. i'll update with performance results once my swap is done, within the next month. thanks again guys.

No problem ovendenk. Be careful when desoldering that multi-layer board. IC604 is the EPROM. Trust me, the government does.
Good luck.

BTW- I'd like to get a nice photo of the KL31 board if anyone has the time.

maybe ya'll can answer this for me...

I am swaping a KLZE into my Protege, i have a KLDE 94 ECU and a Megasquirt on its way. I read that the MS does not control EVERYTHING and i should use the OEM ECU to control certain functions...Assuming this is true....

my question is, could i use the KLDE ECU for those small functions in conjunction with the MS or will i need a KLZE ECU or this chip?

If i do need the KLZE ECU, i'd much rather buy this chip, drop it in the KLDE ECU i already have and save a few hundred bucks.

(The MS was from the bulkbuy on probetalk, prewired for the KL.)

thanks.
