Thinking of Turbo
Hi, I was thinking about turbo charging my mx. But I'm starting to have second thoughts. Just wanted your guys opinions on the subject. Thanx

why second thoughts?
whats stopping you?
if your car is in good condition a turbo mx would be sweet, as it
has the light weight going for it and a great look to match

I was looking at KLZE engines on eBay and saw a complete turbo manifold for the K series V6 engines. It had the 4 bolt flange and external wastegate built in for $500 plus shipping. Find a decent used T3/4 turbo for $300 or less and boost away! A rising rate FMU should be good for 5-6psi then look for bigger injectors. Not sure if there are chips for the engine but a little imagination and $1000 could get you boosted.
Not to swipe the thread but should I consider boosting my K8 or go whole hog and buy a ZE? Not sure how the K8 holds up to pressure, especially one with 120K miles.

For one, I would change the engine to a KLZE or KLDE
Then I would turbo charge
Rebely2k only spent like $1500 on his turbo setup on his KLDE and he was running like 240whp
You could do your own turbo setup for cheap. It has to be a custom setup though. There arent any turbo kits out there for the V6.
That sure is alot of welding that will have to be done in order to make it work
Or you could go with a S/C
You could buy a rebuilt M62 S/C for like $500-$700
