Atlanta area?

Post by projectmx »

hey i might be down in the atlanta area picking up a new mx-3 in the next month, my current one got totalled while i sitting at a stop light and so a friend of mine and myself will be picking up an mx-3 just outside of atlanta and trailering it back.... wanted to maybe hook up with some of the atlanta mx'ers and maybe crash on a floor if someone didn't mind for a night before driving back up to chicago with the car.. let me know if anyone might be able to let us do that.. if not at least let us know if we could meet up while in the area i'd love to finally see of these atlanta cars (especially from the grassroots magazing) while i'm down there

thanks :D

Yeah, we'd love to meet for a afternoon or night. My MX is down for some winter mods, but if you make it in time I might have it together enough to throw a seat in it and meet up with you and the rest of MOCA.

powder springs is the area where the car is located... i'm hoping in the next 3 weeks but the insurance company is trying to rip me off so i wont have the money to go get the car till we finish weeling and dealing the amount they are offering to give me for my car (their insured totalled my car) isn't what my car is barely worth stock so i'm tryin to work that out.. but it will be within the next 2-5 weeks max

Let the insurance company know about your lost time from work, the time it took you to handle the claim, the money you've spent on a rental car, and provide reciepts for any mods. They should act straight then...

Write it all down nice and neat in a spredsheet format. Offer to send it to them. Tell them that you are considering a lawyer since you think they might be trying to give you less than you deserve.

BE NICE, but firm. They will respond alot better to someone who is calm and collected and seems to have their $h!t together.

tried being very calm with them... faxed in almost 3 grand in reciepts of aftermarket parts and work done.. their reply.. "worthless" and infact they said if i don't keep the car i have to remove those items and replace with stock or they won't give me the full amount

What insurance company is this??? They have to pay for your mods if you have reciepts. (any that were damaged that is. Otherwise they give you the value of your car stock and you go and take all the parts off of it.

Call your state insurance comissioner. His office will help you out with the laws and getting your money.

i'm not sure... they insurance company is really lowballing me on the worth of the car.... so i'm trying to decide if i can afford this ... the car is a great price 500 but the engine hasn't been turned over in almost 3 years .... i found a running one up here for 1100 but i have yet to check it out so i'm not sure on the shape of the car... i'll know end of this week what i'm going to do.. this isn't an easy decision
