Does it take a while for your engine to get upto temperature?

I remember when the Mx-3's thermostat was stuck, i took a good 15min to start to get heat, and would barely get upto temp by the time i got to work...the 626's thermostat needs to get replaced, it takes like 30min of driving to get upto temp
Another thing i had with the Mx-3 was that square hosing wasn't installed properly, i figured my buddy knocked it out when we were runing a 0-guage wire to the trunk, he knocked it so it was partially off, where it was still blowing alot of air to make me think there was nothing wrong, but the air was cold (sucking air from the inside of the car) with a hint of warm air.well, i check under the dash and the square hosing is in place, it pumps out lots of air, just not hot, so the heat is defintly escaping somewhere.
the mode switch works (face, feet, windshield selecter)

well, i briught the car to the shop and asked him to do a engine and heater core flush,. "a full flush."
when i picked up the car after work, he said "it had some air in the system, and the heater core is perfect, and i got all new fluid in it"
i said great, on my drive home, it was NO better what so ever.
Im starting to get pissed, the whether is way below feezing latley, its almost to much to handle.
Am i looking too hard, can it be something simple????????????

2.0 Si B20 was the worst prelude ever -.-
Anywho, you're levers and all that could be working but the flange that separates the hot and cold air for climate control may have broken lose from the selector hinge thingy.

i had the same problem. I used my compressor , put it on full pressure, disconnected my thermostat, took like a air chuck and blew into the input and output of the lines going into the heatercore. i gots heat baby. of course it only worked for a while. i gots to do it agains to flush it once more. right now i get a little heat but not hot.
other than that...nothing else to try.

Since all previous tests you've done appears to show that there is the same amount of coolant pressure going into and leaving the heater core - right? And you've confirmed that the shutter actuator is moving is sync with the heater slide control - right? Then, perhaps the only option is to remove the cable from the actuator and try removing the outer saing of the heater core to confirm that the shutter is actually free moving and not jammed, stuck, or broke. Don't what else is left to do. Is your local Mazda helpfull and generous enough to be able to spend a little time in brainstorming some options or solutions. g/lMOSES wrote:i have to be an "arsho" and bump this topic. I have to get it fixed. Ive ran out of ideas and tests, and i know that mazda will rape me if I bring it to them.
