It's the K8 rubber ribbed tubing that runs between the TB (throttlebody) and the VAF (Volume Air Flow meter) and then to the airbox.tk2269 wrote:what is the air intake tract n where is it connected too?can any1 help?

First of all, it sounds like you just went out and tore the 1.8L out and threw the 2.5L back in with no idea of what you were doing. Then when something doesnt work as it should, you tell everyone "I swapped my motor but it doesnt work, how do I fix it...?" , without giving us the proper background info needed to help you solve your problem (like what parts did you retain from the original engine, etc)...
Not to mention using the search button like most do to solve a problem they have. There's a good chance its in here somewhere, just type the word(s) in and click "SEARCH"...
*and yes, the gas could be bad. Go fill the tank up, and check all your vacuum-lines to ensure they're all connected (and check the intake for leaks as well!)...

When this thing hits 88mph, you're gonna see some serious TIHS...!

"tk2269", John makes a valid point. It sould have became obvious when you got very little help over the duration of this thread. We're not mind readers here, and only a handfull are qualified mechanics, but rather owner/drivers like you and me. If you want this thread to move forward and your problem sorted, than it would be beneficial to follow JOHN_R1's suggestion.
