integra intake

Post by 1992blazeredgs »

I just finished up my integra intake so i thought i would post a pic and answer some of the common questions asked about it

http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/blazered9 ... pg&.src=ph

1) The rubber cuplers are available at autozone. I used 3"- 2 1/2" cuplers.

2) I bought a relocation kit from autozone for 7$ to relocate my coolant overflow.

3) The metal bracket mounted on the stock air box, i mounted on the battery try as seen in my picture.

4) I bought the two piece 90-93 integra intake off ebay. However when it arrived i received a one peice alluminum pipe. I figured since it had to be cut anyways, what is a few extra cuts. So YES you can use a one piece intake but i had to buy an extra cupler.

5) The total money spent on my intake, including (intake kit off ebay, shipping, two cuplers, relocation kit for coolant overflow, and filter oil) ran me a total of 67$.

Over all i did not feel much of a difference in performance, however the added room in the engine bay, and impressive sound the intake makes at wide open throttle make this upgrade well worth the effort.

I would like to thank everyboy on mx-3.com, this site has so much information available to us it is ridiculous. It is only a click away via the SEARCH FUNCTION!!!!!!

I think he might of been just giving his own personal review about the whole thing, and we can always use those!

Thanks mx3parker, that is exactly what i was doing. Before i did the integra intake i read everything i could find about it. That included babyblue and hoodzy's how to on the intake. After reading their how to's i also read all the questions people had about it. So in an effor to help other people out, like previous people had helped me, i added my input in attempts to clear up any questions that remained. Like how much it costs and if you have to use the two peice intake. Sorry i did not individually thank you babybluemx3 and hoodzy. Your how to's helped me alot and gave me a great overall plan of how to attack the intake install, thank you.
