Price check on a '95 MX?
Price check on a '95 MX?
So I've got a beautiful 1995 mx (auto) with about 165,000km on it, runs great ... I'm totally in love with it, the way it handles, the awesome mileage, the styling, you name it.
Trouble is, there's an excellent chance I'll be moving overseas in the next few months, so I might have to sell it ( ). Not completely sure yet, but it's looking that way.
But before I place an ad or start to call my friends, I was hoping some of you experts might be able to give me a rough idea of how much to ask for my little honey.
I was thinking around $3500 or so. What do the rest of you think?
Edit: I forgot to add that it needs a little bit of work (a new exhaust pipe), but nothing major.

You'll take my MX-3 away ... from my cold dead hands!

$8000? that's pricey man.
Almost all listed on autotrader.ca are for $5000 or less.

I'm not saying $8000 is a killer deal, just telling you what I saw. But the car was only there a week then sold. Maybe they talked them down a bit but I doubt a dealer would move too much.
I just checked over what is on autotrader and $3500 for an RS sounds good, some are priced higher and one is priced WAY to high, its asking $6700 for a stock RS. Wtf, not really that low of km either, around 130km.

Dealers can ask for whatever they feel like, doesn't mean they'll get that price, in many cases when they over price a car like that it will sit in their lots for months and months until they either lower the price or some idiot comes a long and buys it.
$8k though is way over the top for even a excellent condition GS.
Over the past year alone there has been several heavily modified and near show-room condition cars being offered for sale for like $9-10k, some of these cars have like $5k+ in additional parts. Now why would someone pay $8k for an RS when you can buy a near show-room condition car for like $9k.
Like I said already, most MX-3s listed for sale in Ontario are $5k and less and even with most of these cars you can probably talk them down on price even lower.
Anyone who would pay $8k for an RS in any condition is retarded..... I paid $10k for my Mint GS 6 YEARS ago in 1999.
