Thank about selling and want to set a reasonable price.

Post by DarrenMcD »

I am thinking about selling my 93 mx-3. I looked up my kbb value and it says $2300, to me that seams high since I have about 137,000 miles on the car. I was wondering what other prices people are seeing in the market.

Thanks

If I was to sell my MX3 (which I am thinking of doing) I can get $3000 according to KBB.com

I only got 97k miles on the car. The body is fair (some small dents here and there but the paint is still great).
I could probably sell it for a little more since I got the tranny rebuilt but even then $3000 still sounds like the price because the interior has some rips on the back seats and on one of the front seats

I need to add that I do not have any mods to the car, and I think it needs a new distributur.

After that It does have a new clutch, brakes, tires, muffeler and tailpipes.

I bought my car just over a month ago for $2700 CDN. The car had a few nics in the hood, minor rust under the drivers door (surface rust) but nothing major. It had 219000 kms so whatever that is in miles and its a 95 rs 4 cyl 5 spd. Hope that helps you.

One more thing I forgot to add. It has a V6 and is manual, and is the GS model.

I paid 2,000 for mine about a year ago. It is the 1993 V6 (GS) with 125,000 miles and was in decent shape. I don't think I got a great deal but I didn't get a bad one for sure.
I'd also check http://www.ebay.com and see what they're going for on there.
If I had to wager a guess, I'd say ask for 2000 and tell them it's flexible.

The RS's go for about 1-2K, and GS's for 1.5-2.5K. This is selling price, not what people ask. Cause there's no way someones going to sell an RS for 4K stock. Thought that was funny.
