tranny wires

so i was under my car the other day and i noticed that one of the sensors in my tranny only had one of the 2 wires connected... the sensor in the front of the tranny that has 2 green wires going to it... just curious if i need to fix this problem even tho im not noticing any issues, and also curious what that sensor does. thanks

oh yah.. btw i have a 92 mx-3 RS, 1.6 L sohc MTX

2 green wires... don't know... does the reverse lights work?

Well I can hardly offer any more help if he won't clear up one easy question.... And I don't believe there are 2 x green wires going to whatever he's talking about. It must be the only thing Mazda ever did without bothering to change the wire colours. Don't expect help if you can't help yourself. Simple.
