[need to buy] JACKSHAFT

I HAVE:

95 mazda mx3
4cyl
1.6 liter
manual tranny
no abs

I NEED PASSENGER SIDE JACKSHAFT FOR THIS VEHICLE! I CANNOT FIND ONE ANYWHERE. ILL PAY SOMEONE TO GO TO JUNK YARD!

hmm I thought the DOHC had the same tranny as the SOHC so you wouldn't have a jackshaft unless you have a G-series like a protege. hmm....

they normally go between axles and the tranny, if one side is way farther from the tranny then the other, and u also normally dont see them unless its AWD, which no mx-3 is... i dont think u need a jackshaft, i think u need a halfshaft = CV joint

umm...look at pat's pic...its spot on to what he's talking about

its also called intermediate shaft, it's purpose is to ensure the L and R axles are equal-legnth thus no torque steer.

I know it doesn't mean much, but that pic isn't my doing. AtlMX3 drew that and posted it under my account yesterday.
Microsoft paint is a wonderful tool, but the result is aweful.

If you can tell what a jackshaft is from that pic you are a better man than I.

This coming from a guy that has chowed up 2 axles because he didnt know his s---? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.. Bugs was making a rhetorical statement and his intention was to help. Everyone makes mistakes.. but when a person has made more than their share of mistakes.. its not even remotely cool to put someone else down when they make a mistake. Especially since you cant even seem to spell "Your" correctly. Ok.. I am done ranting now.
