What is the button beside the rear defog?

Post by Spinkx79 »

Mine doesnt press in, was wondering what goes there?

I want to use it for something, and if i can find a stock ON/OFF switch it would be easier.

Thanks

if you're talking about the two buttons under the instrument cluster, to the right of the steering wheel, then that button should be for the 4-way flashers. this is assuming you have the 92-93 dash style. if you have the 94-96 dash, then i have no clue since i've got a 93. :dunno: good luck.

If your talking about the button I think you mean, its a red one, right? Well thats your four way flashers. I can't think of any other button near the rear defogger button.

Nope not the red one, my car is a 96.

To the right of the steering wheel, there are 2 buttons side by side, one is the rear defog and the other one is solid, cant push it in, its got to be some for an option i do not have.

No big deal but now its got me wondering what it could have been used for.

I could have used an ejection button a few times...Bulk Buy?....

These are the buttons Spinkx79 is refering to.

One is blank other is rear defog. Probally blank to match the cruise on/off on the other side of wheel.

Mine now has an on/off switch for my neons, it looks almost like a stock switch! 8)

Yea, I have a 93 GS and that is where the hazard button and the rear defroster is. Looks like on the 94+ they just put a blank button there that never went to anything since the hazard button was moved.
