Post by lucky13 »

I was just wondering on how to get to the really hard spots? Also on the uneven spots?

I am not finished, of corse, still need work and wanted to ask.

My guess would be a dremel with a small polishing-capable tip?

Nope...no good....tried and tried.

THe only way i could get in the corners and around the raised spark plug holes was sandpaper and duct tape :)

Duct tape is for your finger  or you will wind up with no finger print for a while like i did. And it stops it from moving all around.

Good luck.

Heh.. take them in and get them bead blasted.. that will get the majority of the rough stuff and then you can detail them afterwards. Bead Blasting isnt that expensive and you will get a more uniform surface from it than doing it by hand. Just my two cents.. oh and almost any decent machine shop or body shop will have a bead blaster (similar to sand blasting, just different media)
