There is a few module chips for sale on EBAY that are supposed to give the car more horsepower does anyone know if thats a jip or is it legit does it actually work. Tell me what you guys think about it.

Basically it`s just a 50 cent resistor that does nothing.

I believe it might actually damage something if installed.

If you look up IAT mods you will find out how to do it yourself.

I tried it on my old 92 SOHC before I swapped it - you can feel the gain, but it also sucked up gas like no tomorrow.

then we tried it on a 1999 VW jetta turbo deseil - and it made a lot more power!!! but again, he ran with it for a week, and only got about half the usual mileage......So in the end you pay......

Don't waste your time or $$ IMO. That chip just fools your engine into running with an overly rich fuel mixture all the time instead of when the engine is first started up cold as it should.

all that resistor does is trick the ecm into thinking that the maf is still not wide open and dumps more fule in to your engine, it's a scam and worthless no wait it's not worthless it will cost you to replace your engine apon detination. your mas air flow sensor works on pulsed dc it shows the ecm a reading between 0 and 5v all the resistor does is cause a 1.5v drop so it never shows a full 5v reading
