Ahh the age old subject of engine spec's
Yea im going to have my rant and if you don't like it don't read it..
Sorry but i read some real s--- in this forum.....

No one can say you are going to get X WHP from Y setup
Having built spec motors for a race series, i can assure you none
dynoed the same even tho they where built to the same spec's...

How i build a motor is totally different to someone else how ever
the basic's remain the same for all motors

Lift your valves 30% of there diameter, any more you just diddling yourself
Polished ports on the intake are a waste of time, you want them rough
to promote air/ fuel mixing.
CR 10:1 on pump gas is enough anymore and hey you need to be mixing
your own special brew.

Big flow numbers on a flow bench don't mean s---

there are rules and percentages that work on cyliinder head's id quote
them but instead go and by the book and have a read you might learn
something..

Having said that the gearbox which is a power multipiler needs to be
geared to your needs or the motor built to suit the box...fine having
big HP and no tourqe, tourqe wins more races than hp....

Yea a few beers to many tonight, any engine can be made to poke out
Hp , making it do it day in and out is another thing...

Now down to the nitty gritty for the KLZE, if these shop mangers are
saying they can get X hp figure, them where are these cars on this
site or in public??? 300Hp@9000 is gainable on a klze but
with 280 Degree cam's and WOT at 3500rpm and nothing stock at all..

In fact the only stock items left are the block and crank. and even those
are moddiefed........

Ok so your saying what does this guy know, well two national titles and
a few reginal titles racing offroader's and yea ive even run in the
Baja 1000 and fireworks 250 in the USA............

There is one addage that is true, the bulls--- stops when the flag drops.
Kiwi - Native Bird Of New Zealand, semi-nocturnal, secretive bird
Flightless, though can be found flying firstclass
Poor eyesight, though can spot a good pub at 100yards.

250 I'd say is POSSIBLE.. but would take thousands and some hardcore internal work. And every bolton known to man. 5-6 eBay speed chips too

we could quote numbers all day, but like kiwi_MX3 said it depends on how the motor is tuned etc etc... too many variable to throw numbers out the top of our heads.

NA hp means naturally aspirated. In other words all motor.
Boost(forced induction) means the use of things like turbo, supercharger, nos.
