Which NGK plug will the Denso translate to?lakersfan1 wrote:I did a search a couple weeks ago on my own, and found that the KLZE and KFZE in Japan both used Denso K20PR-U11.

I even checked the clearance of the plug electrodes with the heads off the car. There's no possible way these plugs will hit the pistons. Plenty of room. It makes things easier for me as those are the same plugs I use in my 2000 626, so I only have one kind of plug to use now.

Although they all say ZFR5F-11 is for the 2.5L 95' Probe, MX6 and Millennia, I'm thinkin' that perhaps with the ZE's higher compression is attributed to a slightly different piston crown/top in that it may be domed shaped. Never had the heads off of a ZE so I don't really know. That probably being the case, the general concensus to stay away from the ZFR's seems logical. It'll be BKR6EIX-11's for me.....thanks all for the input!!!

I dunno the answer. I know that you can buy BKR7E-11's at any parts store and those are the next range colder. BKR5E-11's are hotter, the OEM stuff is 6.
I don't see the benefit of using iridiums besides them lasting a million years and costing a lot. I like my V-powers b/c they cost $1.69 each. When I burn them out, just pay another 10 bux and abuse some more

Ok, I used the ngk platinums and for a millenia on my klze and am having problems so I now have the bkr5 somethings for my car, don't have them in front of me right now but they are the same everyone recommends. My question is what do you guys recommend I gap them at? I gapped my platinums at .035 like what they recommend at corksport but I've also seen .044. Something tells me I shouldn't really trust the corksport info and I wanted to see what you guys are using.

Thanks man, I called around and got the gap from one of the local autopart stores. I set it at .044. haven't installed them yet though, cause once I went to pull the old ones we got a down pour and it hasn't stopped. Just my luck. Sucks cause you can hear what sounds like spark plug knock and I'm blowing a ton of black smoke, I'm definately not burning all my gas. Think the gap closed up on those fz plugs and they just aren't firing right.
