Assuming the paint is dry.. you should be able to use a razor blade and scrape it off the window without damaging the glass.. this will be slow going and tedius.. or you could try hitting your local hardware store and get some paint thinner or paint stripper chemicals. Any way you look at it.. not gonna be a fun job. Stuff like this makes me think being a hermit aint so bad...

if its on the outside which it soulds like it, use Paint thinner. it wont hurt it. iv used it on mine a couple of times. just put alittle on a rag. and you should be good to go. or something like goo gone, when you use a razor blade make sure you have the window wet with some windex other wise youll scratch the hell out of it.

a glass cleaner and steel wool will take it off, it won't scratch the window...a razor blade is good....
you don't really need paint thinner.

he was asking for some chemical that would take it off rather than a razor blade. so i suggested paint thinner. IT WILL AND DOES WORK without harming the glass.

Use acetone. You can buy it at walmart next to the paint thinner. Pour it on a rag and rub. If you keep the rag pretty wet it will come right off. At first it will smear around but if you keep getting new rags (I used paper towels) it will eventually come right off with little or no effort. Keep the acetone off any plastic, rubber or painted areas as it could damage them.
This can and does work and is very easy. I spraybombed my truck a few years ago and got alot on the windows wear I didn't mask well. Also the wind took the overspray and got it all over the windows of my mx-3 and a subaru. I used acetone on all three with varying amounts of paint and all three cleaned right up with no noticable damage.

thinner will get paint off of the finish but WILL damage the cars clearcoat finish. Just don't rub too much and you won't rub down to the basecoat
