Removing Top Part Of 92-93 Dash?
Just wonder, how do you take off that huge top part of a 92-93 Mx-3 dash? Please say it's not too complicated...

Not hard, if you have small hands. There are a ton of screws all around. There are screws facing the opposite way, all along underneath the upper part of the dash. You can do it in a couple hours, if there are no complications.

The screws are 7mm with a phillips bit inside. You can use either. The problem screw is in side a vent can in the center of the dash, behind your center vents. You have to take out your venting on both sides of the can and reach inside with a stubby screwdriver to get it. The other thing that will help alot is a mini ratchet that takes screwdriver tips in it. You need this for the tight spaces that you have to work in.
i had the exact same problem, i was trying to get that top part off to paint it, but i had trouble fitting my hands in and underneath so i just taped everything and sprayed it in the car, it turned out nice and i saved myself the time and trouble of taking it out ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
another piece i can't get out is the part under the steering wheel that has the hood popper handle in it, if anyone could give me instructions to take that out i'd really appreciate it
