appearance wise, it doesn't look that much different, though i really like it better with that spoiler than without. honestly, i'd drive any rx-8 i had a chance too. does look good though.

As far as I know the only upgrades performance wise r to do with the suspension, ie sway bars. Other than that its cosmetic. I read somewhere mazda were looking into a supercharger for it.

It is def a beautiful car. Always loved it stock and the MS upgrade. Check out the pics of the silver one with dark rims it looks awesome. To bad its under powered(so they say) but hopefully MS will take care of that.

Road and Track has a new magazne out called "SPEED" and they reviewed it in Fall 2004. Yes, it is supercharaged. Hell, I'll list some of the more interesting stats they have:

The thing is sexy as hell and one difference is that the white MS RX-8 on my cover has a "rotary-triangle" shaped hood scoop that is tastifully done that I also like. It also has some driving lights and a rib on the front bumper but only in the two side grills.

I hate it...the RX-8 is a DISGRACE! I mean yes the car looks gorgous and is pretty quick, but still it's a disgrace to the wankel herritage! I mean, they're gonna SC the MS Version?? That's really freakin dumb! Every rotary engine in the past has been Turbo'd, The Mazdaspeed Protege,MX-5, and 6 are all going to be Turbo, WTF is Mazdaspeed thinking!? I swear they better produse the 2006 RX-7 with TT like they were planning, and get rid of that POS RX-8! Boo on the rx-8! it's been a disgrace since it premered at the tokoyo auto show!!!!

Correct me if I am wrong, but isnt the stock rx-8 238hp and 159 ft-lbs of torque? Also it does the 1/4 mile in the mid-low 15's? If so how can a supercharger add such little power and shave of a whole second in the 1/4??

ya sounds like a pretty useless supercharger if thats all it improved.
