pop!!!

Post by 93SOHC »

Last night I was driving home from work down the same crappy back road I always take. This road is riddled with cracks, low spots and holes. I accidentally hit one of the bad potholes going about 50mph and heard a loud pop from the front of my car. I mean this was so loud I heard it over my loud stereo. I thought I popped a tire but it was fine. I thought I broke my brand new swaybar links, they're fine. The suspension isnt sagging or anything and it does not affect my driving at all. I also took a look at the front coil spring and they appear to be okay. Is it possible that one of them has snapped and I cant see it? What the heck? Is this just a fluke or something...Loud noise and nothing is broken, WTF! :?

You might have popped the strut. It wouldn't really make it sit or drive a lot different. But push down on the fender to see if it's bouncy. Compare the two sides to get an idea if they're different.
