yeah, there's no reason you can't, people just usually don't because they want to show off the cf. i just wish the aftermarkets were available in reenforced fiberglass instead of just cf, it'd be cheaper and it's all i really want.

get fiberglass one then will be just as light and why get c/f if you gonna paint it, lame

so pissed when people say painting CF is bad
I'm gonna paint a section of my hood.........i dont want to look like every other freak with a black CF hood
if you wanna paint your CF hood go ahead....

you know what would be really really cool. get a paint scheme going that involves multiple layers, and have the cf showing through in some places (you know sorta like the ones that look "ripped" exposing the layers under it) the cf would give awesome depth to it, but you'd have to do the whole thing right, and it would NOT be cheap. just a thought.

I paint cars myself :) but im kinda new to the whole CF thing... i mostly restore old stuff. but yeah it would look badass, My car will be orange when im done, maybe throw two rips on the sides of the hood with the cf shoing? thats a good idea :)

actully if done right the fiberglass hood will still be heavier than the cf

so are we just guessin here, or does somebody REALLY know that YOU CAN paint CF? i guess i'll have to ask my body shop guy to be sure....

I like it, but I wish that I also had the OEM CF hood to slap on from time to time, when I put on the black rims.

In the end, it is your car and you should do what makes you happy....your the one that has to be seen in it.
