Post by krishna »

I have the oppertunity to pick this ecu up for cheap i think from ebay, heres the link-
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... AMEWA%3AIT

Im putting in a BP motor from a 91-94 Protege and i dont know if i need a ecu because its not coming with the engine, I hear that you can use the mx-3 ecu as long as the engine isnt froma 94? is this true?
Let me know if i should pick up this Part, if not... where can i get the one i need?

You should use the ECU and grab the wiring harnes as well from the ECU to the engine so you have the VICS hookups.

ask the seller if its from a LX or DX, if it's the LX-DOHC(BP10) that's the one you need, if its from the DX-SOHC(BP01) then no thats not the one you need.
92 MX-3 1.8L DOHC BP, 17" Konig wheels, 2.5 exuast, custom CAI, inverted style carbon fiber hood, GT-Combat body kit.
