speedo and odometer no worky. Wheres the sensor

Post by teddyca »

They were broke when I bought the car. I am assuming there is a speedo cable in the tranny. Is this true? Guy told me he was quoted $125 to fix and it was not that important to him. I would like to fix it myself. What could be broke and common problems?

if the odometer and speedo both arent working, it is prolly broke at the trans. Not sure where it goes in, but if you have a 5 speed it should be pretty easy to find. Speedo cable arent that pricey, or hard to do depending on your know-how, but for 125 installed, its almost worth having someone else mess with it IMO.
