ignition wiring

Post by sloggy »

My MX-3 1.5 auto came with a non standard immobiliser which stopped working and immobilised the car. I've removed the immobiliser but am not sure on the wiring. The car still won't start (is totally dead) can anyone help please, maybe with a wiring diagram for the ignition?

follow the wires from the immobilizer. They should go to a factory wire that has been cut.
Then you just remove the aftermarket wiring and rejoin the factory wiring.

Most immobilizers are starter kills. So I'd look at the ignition harness around the steering column. Remove all the plastic around the steering column, and the plastic panels below that.

If you want the wiring diagram, go to my web site below - requested info - and theres a couple of files you can right click and save as.

Good luck!
