Headlights custom made?! anyone
I was wondering if anyone here works with fiberglass? And would it really be that hard to custom mold some fiberglass and throw some projectors in them? I was thinking of just laying some fiberglass on the stock headlight, then cutting holes in them, and throwing projectors in the holes. Does this sound crazy or unrealistic?

Just make sure you provide for projector adjustment individually.

There's an easier way to do it, rather than just slapping some fiberglass on it.
I'd suggest using a lexan backing plate for the projectors to mount on. Much more solid, and much easier to work with initially.

yeah, i don't know what to do. I love projectors. I hate the lighting that came stock. But I don't know if anyone is ever gonna come out with aftermarket projectors. There is tons of rumors. But i don't know what to believe...

I doubt any company ever will. It's just too small of a market for them. Lots of people say they want them, but probably less than half of those will actually get them.Originally posted by Bubbaflaat:

Custom jobs cost a lot of money, and that would turn most people away.
About 1% of people actually want to spend the money on QUALITY lighting systems for their cars. The other 99% just want a quick fix like a stupid HID drop-in kit, or H3 projectors.
For less than $500 you can make you own projector set-up. It will take a lot of time to do it right, but at least it will perform well and be worth it.

Yeah, personally i'd rather do it myself and have something that nobody has done before. And have the right to say that I did it myself. But thats just me!

Okay, since everybody has got disappointed in the earlier announced 'so called' groupbuy for projector-headlights, I made some 'impressions', for those of you who want to do a custom headlight job.
