remove glas from the headlights

This forum is for discussion of topics relating to MX-3 lighting such as Headlights, Tail lights, Accessory Lights, Interior Lights, Etc. For example, Rear Euro Altezza Style Tail lights, Headlight units, LED's, HID's, Bulbs, Interior lights, Neons, Strobes, Auxillary Lights/Fogs or anything filament and gas discharge related.
Also anything dealing with the elctrical system.

is it posible to remove the glas from the headlights??
i have real glas headlight not the plastic once

My guess would be that it is held on by an adhesive. Heat it up and pry GENTLY. Someone else with actual glass headlights might be able to help better.

i have never seen actual glasss mx-3 headlights, mabey i have just don'r member but i put mine in oven for like 2 min and pryed right apart

where you get those glass ones at?

Here is the baking recipie for plastic headlights. Might work for glass ones. Check that the sealant is black.

Pre-heat the oven to 200-220F
Make sure your lights are clean
Make sure that four of the clips that keep lens and housing are off
Place your headlight on a cookie pan
Turn off the oven
Place cookie pan with your light inside
Wait 5-8 minutes for headlights to fully heat
Gently pry the lens off the housing with something wide, like table knife
If not coming off, try heating longer
You can do up to 250F and 10min

Mine worked after 8 minutes at 220F. Your lens is glass, so be careful, not to crack. Also the housing if fairly brittle, but repairable.
