guage lights

This forum is for discussion of topics relating to MX-3 lighting such as Headlights, Tail lights, Accessory Lights, Interior Lights, Etc. For example, Rear Euro Altezza Style Tail lights, Headlight units, LED's, HID's, Bulbs, Interior lights, Neons, Strobes, Auxillary Lights/Fogs or anything filament and gas discharge related.
Also anything dealing with the elctrical system.

hey i was just wondering if anyone has had any problems with hooking up guage lights(boost + EGT) to the dimmer. like burning it out or anything like that. thanks for the help. :pimp:

ok i hooked my 2 autometer guages up to the dimmer. on my car i could not get the dimmer to dim the guages. there are 3 wires... red, red/black, and black. black doesn't work since it is the ground, red/black keeps the guages at a constant level, and the red one dims the autometer guages OPPOSITE of the guage cluster (when cluster dims, autometers get brighter). so anyway i just hooked it up to the red/black wire and left it. :welder:
