want to get exhaust made for 2 diff engines

i want to get an exhaust made for my 95 1.6 mx3..i am eventually going to get the bpt engine...how far back should i ge the exhaust made..from the cat? from the exhaust manifold? from the first cat converter from the engine? any help?
