My car is idling low

Post by chellio »

Hey guys,
The last time I asked everyone what they thought of my car idling low, I was told to get a tune up, put stp in it, and such. Well, I just put the stp fuel injector cleaner in, and I was just wondering what else I can do to make my car smoother.
Thanks!
Michelle

Check out all of your intake.
My car was idling really bad and was only getting worse over time.
Turns out their was a small crack in the intake boot which was causing the extremely low idle and occasional stalls.

Check your air filter. I've got a K&N in mine and I was told by a mechanic last weekend that it's extremely dirty and needs cleaning. For now im gonna put up with low idle. Why? It's too damn cold out for me to get under the hood :|.
