Hold Button

What does the Hold button on my shifter handle do? I have an automatic transmission and the 1.6 engine. My car is a 93. [img]shrug.gif"%20border="0[/img]

It holds the transmission in that gear specified on the shifter. If in first with hold light on then it will stay in first and only shift if you click hold(so the light goes off), then it goes to 2nd. If shifter in 2nd with hold light on then it stays in 2nd until you click hold(light goes off) then it goes to 3rd, etc....<BR>so you can basically drive it like a stick if you want, I used to drive my old RS auto like stick using hold and combination of lever positions.
