I would recommend a 92-93 GS MTX personally.
pluses of this series:
-more power than RS's
-MTX is more reliable than ATX historically
-more supportive seats
-plainer[for me this is a plus] dash
-Leather available
-can be found for $3-5k USD
Hope this helps.
------------------
David Coleman #2
1993 Mazda MX-3 GS Special Edition
1/4 mile: 16.05 @ 85.7mph
Update!ACT II is now in! see ya at the strip!
Updated Nov 5thPinkMX-3.com MX-3.com registry

I used to know alot about MX-3's, but not so much anymore. Oh well.

Re: lookin for a car . . .
I'll go with Dave there, the GS's are alot more fun. Check out www.autotrader.com and search out your area, that's how I found my new one, (my first car was an MX3, but it got totalled about 3 months ago, it's all good though, I got a better one!
$4500 is what I've payed for both of my loaded GS's, (minus the leather, that's a special edition feature). If you're worried about milage on an older model, don't, the little v6 will run forever!
------------------
mason
red 92 GS

I have a 92 mx-3 4 cylinder with 172 k miles on it. It still runs like a champ.

Ian, ran across this info from the New Castle, PA area in my search for an MX-3 GS. To far for me, thought I'd pass it along to you: Blue-Green 92 MX-3 GS, $4500
724-846-9362. Good Luck.

I dont really feel safe without one. Which models have the airbag? How necessary is an airbag?
Thanks
------------------
-------------------
Syruz86@hotmail.com
