Ottawa Meet Official thread.

Here's all the info on the Ottawa Meet May 10-11. Note that this meet is not in any way related to the radio/cruise happening in Ottawa on the same dates. This meet is mostly an RX-7 meet, but all MX-3's, MX-6's and Miata's are invited to come out .<p>--------------------------------------------------<p>Ottawa Meet...<p>MAY 1O:<p>1-2PM SHOW AND SHINE: The Meet begins at the COREL CENTER in Ottawa (feel free to show up earlier if you want). We will be using the parking lot facing the front doors just like last year. The parking lot is not rented, so please, nothing crazy. There's a couple restaurants there if anyone gets hungry. <p>~5PM BBQ: We head for a BBQ at my place (maps will be provided for the drive down AND the parking). My place can hold a max of 50 people and cars. This BBQ is BYOB and BYOFood. I will have some food here, but not enough to feed 50 people LOL. Try to bring your own booze/food, if not there's grocery and beer stores not too far from my place.<p>~Nightime: What happens saturday night is up to the individual. My place will be open for a party, some people might want to go cruising in Ottawa, others might want to pack it in early to be ready for the cruise the next day...<p>
MAY 11:<p>8AM-1PM BIG CRUISE: Everyone is invited to the Cumberland-Masson ferry in Cumberland (will provide maps) for a huge cruise. Maps will be provided for the cruise and for a breakfast stop. This will be a big cruise so everyone should make sure they've topped up on gas before heading out. After the cruise, people can head straight home or go back to my house to relax before the long drive home.

I think we should get a list going:<p>-Organised my license plate
-Name of driver along with Mx-3.com nickname and cell phone number
-Name of passenger with mx-3.com nick and cell phone number (if applicable)<p>At least this way, if we need to bring attention to the driver/owner of a car, we can get in touch with him/her, and if were looking for a specific person, we know how to get in touch with them,and what car they're in. And if your not good with names but know their nick (like me), you'll have it.<p>It also wouldnt be a bad idea to get similar lists to the Rx-7 and Miata clubs were going up with, especially if were going up together

I know of a couple local MX-6 guys showing up and there was some interest from a club awhile back but I'm not sure what they're planning. There's a few Miata's coming from Niagara, but again, I'm not sure if other clubs are planning on coming down or not.<p>There will be many gas stations on the cruise route... alot of us are in RX-7's here . All stations are Ultramars and carry 94 octane gas for the turbo guys.
