I'm attempting to get the car off the Municiple lot on Monday. I'll need to take a lot of measurements from the car to see if the frame is still in good condition and if I can pound a lot of this metal back into place. If not, I'll probably end up buying a new MX-3 and moving parts over. Then part out the rest.

seems like at least one crash in month occurs with one of the members on this site, is mx-3 a bad luck or something

I don't think the MX-3 is cursed or giving us bad luck. It's more like wrong place at the wrong time or what if I left a little earlier or later situations.

James, by sounds of it may be better to get a different Mx and move the parts over. It is easier to do that than do all the bodywork.

It also a matter of what I can afford $$$ wise. I don't really have the cash to cough up for a new MX-3. I have seen a lot of nice ones for sale here, but like I said before $$$ is a problem. I would do all the body work and repair on my smashed up car myself so that wouldn't cost me much. But the full extent of the damage will determine whether or not I can do it.

Sorry to hear that they wrote off the car James. :crying: Hopefully they'll let you take off whatever you can from her. Is another MX-3 in the plans.

Sucky.... May be you can buy it back for a couple of hundered bux and have the parts back. There are a lot of nice mx's out there. Be cheaper to buy from US too. Go to www.riv.ca to check on the rules. I've been told only FL, OR, CA, WA and may be SC are good to be rust free. At least you didn't have it ZE'ed :(

Looks like mine did when i got in a similar accident to u on highway 2. I thinks its fixable. Just really negotiate with your insurance company. they paid me double of the first offer for my car. Buy it back and fix it if the frame is not bent.

good luck
