1.8 V6 mx3 Vs. Stock standard 2.0 V6 Xedos 6

my mate has just bought a Xedos 6 with the KF-ZE 2.0 V6 engine in it, its stock standard at the moment, he wants to put it down the 1/4mile against me but i dont wanna be shown up by a family saloon!! my MX-3 is the 1.8 V6
Do you guys think my car would have problems with the Xedos? i have a piperX air filter and by the time we get to a drag strip a full powerflow exhaust system.

just go look at the power to weight ratios and do some calculations and you should get a better idea

i had a go but reliable info on the XEDOS isnt very forthcoming, sites arent as organised when looking for stuff, i found 1 site that said the K8-ZE had 156BHP and the KF-ZE had 190!!! in their Dreams! has any1 here got any clues?

the K8ZE has ~140hp.. probably a lot less brake hp. i'd say the xedos and you should be about even, because his car is heavier than yours, but has a little more hp. its all in the launch man.. get him off the line, and i bet you'll win

my bad.. forgot to say, doesnt the KFZE have around 150-160hp? can anybody back that up?

to the best of my knowledge (an what ive read here) the KF-ZE has 170BHP but the Xedos has a silent exhaust!!! thats gotta be restrictive!! he wants to take on my other mate with a fiat Coupe 16v Turbo, cheers
