Competition Mx-3

Post by killem2 »

I've never seen Mx-3 used in stero competitons. I have a 1993 model, 4cld. And I'm getting ready to have a box custom made for like 9 800 watt rms 10's. Every sub i've had in there sounds excellent since the acoustics of the hatch. I wanted to know if there is a diagrahm of what the hatch is measured as, and I mean every little bit of it, curves and all. And if there are any pics of people with compt installs in their Mx-3's

Also I can't help but notice on the post of MX-3 vs Neon, come iggit wrote something about a vett being faster than the Diablo. It's stats were like 0-60 in 3.9 seconds, hate to burst the bubble but the 2001 Lamborghini Diablo VT, is 3.2 sec, sorry just had to stick up for my favorite car in the worlds. :-) Also on that same post, if a 2001 viper and vett was only getting 12's, then I would hate to own one, the honda s2000 pulls 11's....Thank you all.

Glad to see someone else has decided to put some serious sound into there MX. I've got 2 MTX 12"s in a custom plexi and mdf box with all the neon and stuff. The rest of the car is MTX as well, except for the deck (Pioneer). I don't have any pic's right now but when i do, i'll send them to you. The MX-3 has great acoustics in the hatch area, sending the thump from your subs straight at you (also depends which way they're firing). But I recommend sound proofing your car. It makes the world of difference for sound qual. and road noise.
Suspension Techniques lowering kit, front and rear strut braces, Ractive cold air intake, 16" wheels with 215/40's, full cat back custom Tanabe Racing Medallion exhaust. Custom Competion stereo, full interior purple neon lighting.

Well that Igget was me, and i have some cold hard facts for ya, the Diablo 6.0 runs a quarter at 12 flat 0-60 in 3.6 0-100 in 8.8 and top ends at 205mph (the diablo roadster is even slower). Now the Vett C5-R runs the quarter in 10.3 0-60 in 3.5 0-100 in 6.2 and top-ends about 210. So the Vett is faster than the Diablo, know your facts before you say something stupid. For referance look it up at <A HREF="http://www.roadandtrack.com" TARGET=_blank>www.roadandtrack.com[/URL] if you think I'm blowing smoke.

P.S. The 3.2 0-60 was what Lamborghini estimated it to run by calculation, but the fastest test run by pro drivers only got the 3.6sec.
------------------
Thanks,
Teri
'93 MX-3 SE soon to be a GSR
http://www.geocities.com/warmachinex0/MX-3GSSE.html
[This message has been edited by SE-Man (edited August 25, 2001).]

Is that Why, I think it was a Car and Driver special on the History Channel the 2001 Diablo Was and now is the fastest car in production. It was below the Mc Flaren f1, but after it dropped out The diablo took it's spot. But I could be wrong, as usual.
Anyway, I've decided to go ahead with the 9 10's. Anyone know if it is possible to get a plexi glass window to replace the factory glass one, I might need it.
http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Zone/64 ... tup.jpg
