celica gt-s

Post by RayRay »

I was reading the latest issue of Sport Compact Car and I found this one article, the Celica Bash. They tested 4 celicas. What caught my attention was that 2 of them were quite fast. Their times for a "stock" 02 celica were 15.4@89.3mph. I heard these are the slowest ones cuz the 02's have a lower rev limiter.
Their project car with intake, exhaust, and suspension ran 14.8@95.5mph. I guess the suspension helped it launch. Another one with a clutch, suspension, exhaust, and a stripped interior ran 14.8@95mph.
These cars seem pretty quick. I hear they really shine on the highways cuz of the lightweight and big cam. I heard somewhere they can pull [stock] WRX's on the highways. Okay enough babbling, I just wanted to share that with everyone. =)

celica's are decenty fast...they actually are heavy (so I've heard)....and they are extremely hard to put boost to them...an ITR<---(integra type r) could still pump it...I like the look of them though

If so, thats at least 40 lbs less.
