Why it is wise to not miss shift
Re: Why it is wise to not miss shift
He shouldn't have been downshifting in the first place at 7k rpm. I don't know what he was thinking, but I've also heard in the 6 speed transmissions that it is quite easy to misshift. I think someone on the mr2 forums figured out his rpms, it was like 19k.

Re: Why it is wise to not miss shift
wtf dude... you need to redline an mx-3 to get any power out of it too... old muscle cars are the only vehicles around nowadays with grunt down low.

I don't see why you guys are ripping on the lack of Torque out of the vtec engines...it's not like we're blazing along with our 100ft/lbs...

Hmm. No sympaty from me. You need to take care of your car. And you need to know how to drive it. Mis-shifting is okay, but when your down shifting you better have your stuff together.
