I just spent all day cleaning out my engine bay and i want to show it off a bit.
Heres the pic before
And some pics after.
I sanded and polished my valve cover, and used engine degreaser on the rest of the engine bay and wiped it out with some shop towels.
Now i just got to get rid of a bit of that rust on the black bar near the hood latch. I think it looks ok. What do you guys think?
[ May 03, 2003: Message edited by: newfmx3 ]

sweet mother of mary jesus.. i have so forgotten what the stock setup looks like udner the hood, looks good though.

Granted this is what i am used to starin at when i pop the hood.. i should get a new picture given there are a couple new changes.

all i used was castrol engine cleaner/degreaser (purple spray bottle) and some Mothers Mag & Aluminium Polish (after i snaded the valve cover.
And a roll of blue shop towels to clean it up. cost me about $12 altogether.

Great job on the cleaning. You know you could make a killing if you did that kind of work on the side.
Hey good job you can really see that you paid close attention to detail. Did you do it by hand or did you wash out with like a pressure washer or something?
If you think you have it under control, then you you're not going fast enough.
I did everything by hand. I just used some of those blue shop towels (they look like regular paper towels except there blue) and wiped the grime out after i sprayed the bay with engine degreaser. The valve cover i sanded by hand with differnt grit papers.. starting at 100 and working up to 1500. and then i just polished it with moters mag and aluminium polish. Thanks for the comments.
