Funny brake noise

Post by h8ter »

Alright this one's kind of strange. I've noticed this brake noise at a dead stop (I'm sure its there while the car is moving but too it really too muted to be noticed. Everytime I release the brake pedal while the engine is running it makes a squeak. But shut the engine off, again the step/release and all is quiet. Could it be something in the brake master cyclinder that is only moving while there is a vacuum drawn from the engine running? It doesn't seem to be anything serious but it is annoying. Someone please help me out with your thoughts. Thanks.

Hmmm not sure if this helps but the stock pads on the car have a metal strip that starts makeing noise once the pads need to be replaced. It could be that but then again not..just thought I would throw that out there.

if the noise is coming from your pedals then spray the moving parts with wd40.
