can we put this to rest?
okay, i've read on this site some conflicting views about springs... it's either Suspension Techniques or Eibach's - i forget which one... but one of these are supposedly made for the RS only... now is this really gonna make a difference if you put them on a GS? should i stay away from the one that's made for RS, and go w/ the other one, or will it not really matter, thanks....

Re: can we put this to rest?
how is the lowering on the ST springs?
I found the H&R's (at least at all the pics i've seen) to not evenly lower the car. The rear sits higher than the front and the wheelgap differences looks retarded.
i'm talkin about a GS btw....since it is more front-heavy than an RS...what springs lower the car evenly and provide a nice agressive looking stance?

I have the H&Rs in mine and they dont look retarded. Honestly its only noticeable when you have the stock tires on, When its summer I put my rims back and its 17 inch and they look perfect. The ride isnt bad too.
Re: can we put this to rest?
agreed, H&R`s are very nice.
I dont think the gap is identical front and rear with original springs either, as the fenders are not the same height (not sure, but I`m guessing it).
Also, imho the handling is more important than the difference in wheelgap... looks = ricer
(to the one complaining about H&R looking retarded)

Re: can we put this to rest?
Having B&G springs and KYB struts installed tomorrow (it seems to be the combo of choice for Steve @ A-Spec). Hoping to have better handling over stock. I requested to have the suspension combo lower the car and he recommended no more than 1 to 1.3" drop before it starts to really sacrifice on ride and comfort. Anyone heard of or are familiar with this set-up and what was the feedback? Cheers.

Re: can we put this to rest?
damn you ppl...post PICS!!!!
i only got pics of one doods car w/H&R's and the wheelgap was like over a 1/2 inch more on the rear than the front, very noticeable.
I have 16's with slightly larger diameter tires than stock, but only about .9% larger. I plan on using the stock wheels w/4% larger tires (205/60R15 b/c they are WAY cheaper) this winter.
My GC's are nice, but too damn harsh for my tastes anymore :-/

BTW: when u get those B+G's on, lemme know how they are. I love B+G springs...i think they are the nicest riding springs I've ever ridden on (two seperate vehicles).

somewhere in here there is an entire thread full of pics of people with h&r springs cause someone asked about it.. the drops all looked really nice. i had h&r's on my protege and it rode so nice... the drop was noticable but not huge.. but handled a lot better and rode great
