With my 215/40-17 summertires, I experience som handling problems. Whereever there are tracks/grooves in the road due to wear, the car becomes somewhat erratic and I have to shepherd it. I don't know the correct english term for this, (I would call it something similar to "tracking" in Norwegian).
My rims have a 35mm offset, could this be the cause of my problems? I haven't really found an authoritative answer on the correct offset for 7,5x17 rims on the MX-3. I experince no rubbing or other problems than the weird handling.
TIA!
35 offset cause of my handling problems?

Re: 35 offset cause of my handling problems?
Yeah, I was afraid of that
But my 17" rims are so , I don't want to let them go. Can't go back to driving wintertire dimantions in the summer. I was thinking that maybe 205/55-15 would be better, but if width alone is enough ... 55-profiles will be "rounder" than the 40-profiles though, and I suppose they might navigate the side of the grooves better.
Thanks for the reply!

Det er helt normalt. Bare sporer
Du vil få problemer når du senker den, vil skrape.
har du gjort noe med den? jeg har nemlig en 2-delt Postert vinge til salgs.

(sorry for the Norwegian guys)

You could try changing your alignment settings on your car.
give the front more caster, and try giving the front a LITTLE more toe in than stock.
this may help a little

the different offset will change the scrub radius a bit, and make the effect worse.
