What about a front bar?

and hopefully an add-on like the ST, cause i ain't pullin the front clip apart just for a sway bar...unless it's like the holy grail of bars :) :)

whiteline told me that they have no intentions or any plans to make a front bar for us. i wonder how many people it would take for them to want to make one...

Whiteline do make custom bars, so a front one would be possible. But I think they would need a original bar to make a "mould" from.

Maybe som aussie Eunos 30X owners would like to help out?

I sure would be down with a front swaybar as the rear one is just king :D

I think they make a front bar for the Laser TX3 which is the same as the 1st gen protege. But its AWD so the bar might be different.

I'm in. I can pay via Paypal or with a check. I would even be willing to drive down and pick mine up. Maybe other East Coasters would too and we could have a mini-meet?

I would suggest FedEX Ground shipping as opposed to UPS. Especially for heavy or bulky items, FedEx is cheaper and takes much better care of their packages. Everything I get from UPS looks like it was thrown off a roof. I never ship UPS, always FedEx.

I will look into fedex, although I don't have an account with them and don't really know where or how I can ship through them locally.

I just got a couple emails back from Bob at Whiteline. He says the minimum order is 10 bars to get the 10% discount. I asked him if the $660 for shipping included duty/customs and he told me he doesn't know, and to take it up with my local gov't.

Anyone know if there is going to be any significant duty taxes on these bars? I would imagine 10 bars would be shipping in a relatively large box, and weigh about 60-100 lbs, so I don't know.

And also....if people are going to pay via paypal....include the paypal fees (i think its .30 plus 2.9% of the difference). Paypal is quick, but damn expensive if you receive money. I prefer not to sell using it, but if people are willing to pay for it, then thats fine with me.

I'm still not sure if this is even going to happen. Depending on customs, which could run in excess of $100 USD, and possibly 200+ (this happened to a buddy of mine who bought a bodykit from New Zealand) it might not even be worth to try.

If anyone knows how much the charge for customs post a link or info or whatever.

Man, I just spent a half hour looking at import duty schedules and appendices and stuff. I can't make heads or tails of it. On the one hand, if your total purchase is less than $2000 (and doesn't contain any crazy stuff,) it looks like it can be imported without duty.

Or, it might be assessed a 2.5% import duty. I really couldn't find a definitive answer.

The best thing might be to call the customs office and see what they say.
