Back tires diped out?

Post by dewthis »

I have had a little vibration lately and thought it was coming from the rear and it is. My two back tires are dipped out bad on the inside. What could be causing this? Bearings, Alignment, or it could be the piece of crap Kuhmo's. The front two didnt last 10k miles. Thanks for any help Steve

dipped out???? like the tire now sits at an angle not 90 degrees to the road. is the top in or out more? i think thats what ur saying. or is the front in or out more? explain it a lil better cuz im not really gettin it. sorry if its easier than it looks i just may be reading too deep into it.
oh is ur car lowered at all? what bout rims. sometimes the combination throws off the camber.
i got a 90 pgt...but wish it was a mx-3 bp-t!

Its the inside of the actual tire that is dipped out. Like the alignment is off. I can take my hand and feel on the back side of the tire tread and it feels like a roller coaster. It is kind of like waves in it the inside of the tire

probably your struts are shot and you have too much negative camber, or you have too much toe out.
the inside of your tires are.......lumpy.
[ September 05, 2003: Message edited by: curtklze ]

I replaced the tires today. I checked them out and it looked like from of the middle of the tire to the inside it was wore, more towards the inside. No more kuhmo's for me!!!

If the middle of the tire is worn out then you had the tires over-inflated. Sounds like you need to be checking your tire pressure more often. This was your fault man, not the tire's fault.
I have had my Kumhos forever with NO problems and lots of grip. My Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's are awesome tires an I recommend them to anyone.
[ September 07, 2003: Message edited by: atlantamx3 ]

granted curt was out of line, but you're no better. i think it's time we all grow up here. you talk about not being on here all the time, yet you let someone ON THE INTERNET get you mad.
on a side note, if you ask for help and get it, the least you could do was acknowledge it and try to find out what the problem actually is. it's more than likely your struts. this has been said already. if you go out and just get new tires and leave it alone, why even ask for help???

I was out of line but sayins stuff like that is not cool. I am in the process of trouble shooting the problem got an alignment and i think i am going to get some new zx2. I currently have gr2 w/40k miles on them, just wondering if they are wore out. I have H&R springs also. The roads around here are really bad.
