head gaskets for ze motor

Post by wkdmx3gsr »

Does anyone make head gaskets to lower the compression for the v-6 motors. Need to lower my KL-ZE compression to either 8.5:1 or 9:1 or am I better off just buying a probe motor and using my ported and polished heads with stronger valve springs and KL-ZE cams??? trying to turbo my ZE motor, trying to get down to low 11's already doing 12.4 with nitrous dry shot. still using nitrous to take care of the turbo lag but going direct port injection. Already got a partial sponsorship through Nitrous Express. Looking at getting the turbo piping from Precision Motorsports Online, sending them my throttle body and buying the fuel rail from them as well.

You don't want to decrease the compression by increasing the gap between the head and block. That will mean alot of area outside of the squish area inside the head. The fuel/air stuck outside of the head squish area will not combust properly. Your only real alternative is to either get some KLDE pistons for 9.2:1 compression, or some custom pistons for even lower compression.
